We wait in Hope

"We wait in hope":

20 Our soul waits for the LORD;
he is our help and our shield.

Give GOD not Guns !

Saturday morning 12/15/2012 I woke up and GOD told to go out to the streets and give the WORD so I said yes LORD and headed out to an intersection just don from a Chick-Fil-A because I had heard Santa Cow was going to be there till 10:30. On the way there I thought about all the people that died the day before at the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting and my heart was sad. I got to the corner and thought what am I going to say and then the Holy Spirit told me that GOD had a message for me from the 20 children that got shot and went to Heaven. GOD said the 20 children wanted me to tell everyone "Give GOD not Guns"! So I did and it was so Amazing people were honking up a storm in rememberance of the 20 children! Now guns might not mean literally guns but video games that contain violence and what I consider to be soft porn. Instead GOD wants parents to spend more time with their kids and give them footballs and sporting goods to get them active and playing outside with other kids. Girls always used to get dolls and other things that they could do also. But the one best gift you could give your child is JESUS by taking your child to church and let them be around other children and so that they could learn what is right and wrong. They key thing is that they learn about LOVE "for GOD so LOVED the World HE gave us His SON" ... Jn 3:16. By taking your children to church you are showing them your LOVE and that is what every child wants for today CHRISTmas and everyday! Give the gift that keeps on giving Give GOD not Guns ! Raise up a child in the LORD and they shall be a blessing to you and others. JC See more at: http://www.GOD-N-YOU.info .net .org .com

Ephesians 2:7-9 New King James Version (NKJV)
7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.

The keyword here is FAITH Salvation is a Gift from GOD without anything other than FAITH! So you can be SAVED anywhere, anyplace & anytime because all you have to do is have FAITH! So if you see me out on the streets with my "HONK FOR JESUS" sign and you get the Gift or have the Gift and you feel like sharing yell "FAITH" and may GOD bless you!

Avoiding Arguements

James 4:1-10 NKJV Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members? You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures. Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, “The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously”? But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up. http://www.GOD-N-YOU.co

The Lost Sheep

"The Parable of the Lost Sheep": 10 'See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven. 12 What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go in search of the one that went astray? 13 And if he finds it, truly, I say to you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine that never went astray. 14 So it is not the will of my Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish. GOD is good!

GOD is so good! He provides and provided us with what we need. In our lives we have been given a gift which is the ability to Harvest! Some harvest grain, grapes, etc. Some even harvest money but we all gain from our Harvest so we are to tithe back to the LORD a portion of what we Harvest! This applies to everyone from the Farmer in the Field, the Banker in the Bank, and even the computer guy that does the website for the church!

A word to husbands

1 Peter 3:7 NKJV Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.

Submission to Husbands

1 Peter 3:1-6 NKJV Wives, likewise, be submissive to your own husbands, that even if some do not obey the word, they, without a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives, when they observe your chaste conduct accompanied by fear. Do not let your adornment be merely outward— arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel— rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God. For in this manner, in former times, the holy women who trusted in God also adorned themselves, being submissive to their own husbands, as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, whose daughters you are if you do good and are not afraid with any terror.

Give Your All to GOD

"Give Your All To God": 34 And calling the crowd to him with his disciples, he said to them, 'If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. 35 For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel’s will save it. 36 For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul? 37 For what can a man give in return for his soul? 38 For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him will the Son of Man also be ashamed when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.' The Good Shepherd

"The Good Shepherd": 14 I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, 15 just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep. 16 And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd. 17 For this reason the Father loves me, because I lay down my life that I may take it up again. 18 No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This charge I have received from my Father.' (John 10 : 14-18 - ESV) Find out more: http://www.GOD-N-YOU.co

Love Your Enemies

Matthew 5:43-47
New King James Version (NKJV)
Love Your Enemies

43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor[a] and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,[b] 45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. 46 For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? 47 And if you greet your brethren[c] only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors[d] do so?

No One Knows That Day and Hour

"No One Knows That Day and Hour": 36' But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only. 37 For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, 39 and they were unaware until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 40 Then two men will be in the field; one will be taken and one left. 41 Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and one left. 42 Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming. 43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what part of the night the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and would not have let his house be broken into. 44 Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect (Matthew 24 : 36 - 44 - ESV) JC Find out more: http://www.GOD-N-YOU.co

Cruxifiction

Luke 23:34-49 NKJV Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.” And they divided His garments and cast lots. And the people stood looking on. But even the rulers with them sneered, saying, “He saved others; let Him save Himself if He is the Christ, the chosen of God.” The soldiers also mocked Him, coming and offering Him sour wine, and saying, “If You are the King of the Jews, save Yourself.” And an inscription also was written over Him in letters of Greek, Latin, and Hebrew: THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS. Then one of the criminals who were hanged blasphemed Him, saying, “If You are the Christ, save Yourself and us.” But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying, “Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong.” Then he said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.” And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.” Now it was about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. Then the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was torn in two. And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, “Father, ‘into Your hands I commit My spirit.’” Having said this, He breathed His last. So when the centurion saw what had happened, he glorified God, saying, “Certainly this was a righteous Man!” And the whole crowd who came together to that sight, seeing what had been done, beat their breasts and returned. But all His acquaintances, and the women who followed Him from Galilee, stood at a distance, watching these things.

“Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”

Luke 23:32-43

New King James Version (NKJV)
32 There were also two others, criminals, led with Him to be put to death. 33 And when they had come to the place called Calvary, there they crucified Him, and the criminals, one on the right hand and the other on the left. 34 Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.”[a]
And they divided His garments and cast lots. 35 And the people stood looking on. But even the rulers with them sneered, saying, “He saved others; let Him save Himself if He is the Christ, the chosen of God.”
36 The soldiers also mocked Him, coming and offering Him sour wine, 37 and saying, “If You are the King of the Jews, save Yourself.”
38 And an inscription also was written over Him in letters of Greek, Latin, and Hebrew:[b]
THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.
39 Then one of the criminals who were hanged blasphemed Him, saying, “If You are the Christ,[c] save Yourself and us.”
40 But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying, “Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? 41 And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong.” 42 Then he said to Jesus, “Lord,[d] remember me when You come into Your kingdom.”
43 And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”

For by grace you have been saved through faith

Ephesians 2

New King James Version (NKJV)

By Grace Through Faith

And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.
But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and madeus sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Character of the New Man

Character of the New Man

12 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; 13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. 14 But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. 15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.

Salvation

Romans 10:9-10 NKJV that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Tuesday, September 25, 2012

whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Romans 10:1-15

New King James Version (NKJV)

Israel Needs the Gospel

10 Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel[a] is that they may be saved. For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
For Moses writes about the righteousness which is of the law, “The man who does those things shall live by them.”[b]But the righteousness of faith speaks in this way, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’”[c] (that is, to bring Christ down from above) or, “‘Who will descend into the abyss?’”[d] (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”[e] (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”[f]12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. 13 For“whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”[g]

Israel Rejects the Gospel

14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written:
“How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace,[h]
Who bring glad tidings of good things!”[i]

2 Timothy 2:14-26

2 Timothy 2:14-26 NKJV Remind them of these things, charging them before the Lord not to strive about words to no profit, to the ruin of the hearers. Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and idle babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness. And their message will spread like cancer. Hymenaeus and Philetus are of this sort, who have strayed concerning the truth, saying that the resurrection is already past; and they overthrow the faith of some. Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.” But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor. Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work. Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. But avoid foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they generate strife. And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth, and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will.

Dinner with the President and Airfare on US

Dinner and Airfare on US, it was titled so it is really on the US! -- Election Day is just weeks away -- this could be your last chance to join President Obama for dinner during this campaign. If I were you, I wouldn't wait -- we'll even fly you and a guest out for free. Of course, saying you've had dinner with the President makes a great story. But it's also a really good time -- can't you just picture yourself there? Maybe this will help: You can learn a lot: His dad taught him to love jazz, his girls get crazy-embarrassed when he dances or sings in public, his dream job is starting point guard for the Chicago Bulls --and he really looks forward to sharing these meals with supporters like you. Give $5 or whatever you can, and you'll be automatically entered to win two seats (for you and your guest) at this election's next -- and final -- Dinner with Barack: https://donate.barackobama.com/Dinner If you win, I expect a full report! Thanks, Julianna Julianna Smoot Deputy Campaign Manager Obama for America P.S. -- There's no better time than right now to make your support count -- because Election Day is fast approaching. Just Do It

Right now.
Just do what the psalm says.
 Stop whatever you're doing or
whatever you're worrying about,
and make a list.
Not of your groceries or your "to-do's."
Make a list of God's
wonderful works to you.

Prayer for Mercy with Meditation on the Excellencies of the LORD

Prayer for Mercy with Meditation on the Excellencies of the LORD Psalm 86:1-17 NKJV Bow down Your ear, O Lord, hear me; For I am poor and needy. Preserve my life, for I am holy; You are my God; Save Your servant who trusts in You! Be merciful to me, O Lord, For I cry to You all day long. Rejoice the soul of Your servant, For to You, O Lord, I lift up my soul. For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You. Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer; And attend to the voice of my supplications. In the day of my trouble I will call upon You, For You will answer me. Among the gods there is none like You, O Lord; Nor are there any works like Your works. All nations whom You have made Shall come and worship before You, O Lord, And shall glorify Your name. For You are great, and do wondrous things; You alone are God. Teach me Your way, O Lord; I will walk in Your truth; Unite my heart to fear Your name. I will praise You, O Lord my God, with all my heart, And I will glorify Your name forevermore. For great is Your mercy toward me, And You have delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol. O God, the proud have risen against me, And a mob of violent men have sought my life, And have not set You before them. But You, O Lord, are a God full of compassion, and gracious, Longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth. Oh, turn to me, and have mercy on me! Give Your strength to Your servant, And save the son of Your maidservant. Show me a sign for good, That those who hate me may see it and be ashamed, Because You, Lord, have helped me and comforted me. JC #C2J http://www.GOD-N-YOU.co

The Parable of the Sower Explained

"The Parable of the Sower Explained": 18 'Hear then the parable of the sower: 19 When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart. This is what was sown along the path. 20 As for what was sown on rocky ground, this is the one who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy, 21 yet he has no root in himself, but endures for a while, and when tribulation or persecution arises on account of the word, immediately he falls away. 22 As for what was sown among thorns, this is the one who hears the word, but the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and it proves unfruitful. 23 As for what was sown on good soil, this is the one who hears the word and understands it. He indeed bears fruit and yields, in one case a hundredfold, in another sixty, and in another thirty.' (Matthew 13 : 18 - 23 - ESV) JC #C2J #JC2012 Find out more: http://www.GOD-N-YOU.co

Do not Sue the Brethren

1 Corinthians 6:1-11 NKJV Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unrighteous, and not before the saints? Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world will be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Do you not know that we shall judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life? If then you have judgments concerning things pertaining to this life, do you appoint those who are least esteemed by the church to judge? I say this to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you, not even one, who will be able to judge between his brethren? But brother goes to law against brother, and that before unbelievers! Now therefore, it is already an utter failure for you that you go to law against one another. Why do you not rather accept wrong? Why do you not rather let yourselves be cheated? No, you yourselves do wrong and cheat, and you do these things to your brethren! Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.

Romans 2:4-6

Romans 2:1-16 NKJV Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, whoever you are who judge, for in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things. But we know that the judgment of God is according to truth against those who practice such things. And do you think this, O man, you who judge those practicing such things, and doing the same, that you will escape the judgment of God? Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance? But in accordance with your hardness and your impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, who “will render to each one according to his deeds” : eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness—indignation and wrath, tribulation and anguish, on every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek; but glory, honor, and peace to everyone who works what is good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For there is no partiality with God. For as many as have sinned without law will also perish without law, and as many as have sinned in the law will be judged by the law (for not the hearers of the law are just in the sight of God, but the doers of the law will be justified; for when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do the things in the law, these, although not having the law, are a law to themselves, who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and between themselves their thoughts accusing or else excusing them ) in the day when God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel.

My Sheep Listen go Me

"My Sheep Listen To Me": 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. 30 I and the Father are one.' Chick-fil-A Day 2012 thoughts

Today was Chick-Fil-A Day 2012 ! I had a great lunch at Lakeland Square mall in Lakeland Florida. Several things made it really fantastic such as seeing all the people mostly Christians who turned out to Support a great cause! These people don't hate a certain group of people they actually Love those people very much and it's sad but true they don't see the LIGHT or the TRUTH in what Christians say all the time. We all have our own opinions and wants in Life that's what makes us who we are, but the MAIN point isn't that Controversal it is more just a Moral issue in doing what is right for All of us as everyone that sees this message on Facebook or other Social media likes to have the right to offer their thoughts in text format, so why is that so important you Say? Well what if you couldn't say it anymore at all either audibly or in a little text you hope someone might take the time to read! The message comes from a business person who might be a religious and morally correct person but a person just like you, I think you might think about several issues in this message and consider it in the future like when you go to VOTE for a person that is going to Support your Rights like a good Christian President would. I think all the Christians that went to Chick-Fil-A today on your behalf deserve a thank you even if you don't but they did it because of who they are and what the WORD of GOD teaches them to do which #2 is to LOVE YOU! Did it cost them anything to do this today? I'm sure it did and with the "Change" in the economy could they afford it? The biggest reason they did it is because the Bible teaches us to do what is right for ourselves and others, yes to LOVE thy Neighbor is something that people who Follow Jesus Christ are taught and do. The World would be a much better place with more Christians because there would be less hate and a lot more LOVE which is why GOD sent JESUS to die for you so that you would know Love and be Free from Bondage and Sin. I pray that if you Don't know Jesus as your personal Savior and LORD that you would make a wise choice to do so now! Search me and lnow me

"Search me and know me": 1 O LORD, you have searched me and known me! 2 You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar. 3 You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways. 4 Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O LORD, you know it altogether. 5 You hem me in, behind and before, and lay your hand upon me. 6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high; I cannot attain it. 7 Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? 8 If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there! 9 If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, 10 even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me. 11 If I say, 'Surely the darkness shall cover me, and the light about me be night,' 12 even the darkness is not dark to you; the night is bright as the day, for darkness is as light with you. 13 For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. 14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. 15 My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. 16 Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them. 17 How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! 18 If I would count them, they are more than the sand. I awake, and I am still with you (Psalm 139 : 1 - 18 - ESV) JC #JC2012 Find out more: http://www.GOD-N-YOU.co

Ephesians 4:24 (NIV)

Here is your Verse of the Day:
Ephesians 4:24 (NIV). [P]ut on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness....... Thoughts on This Verse... One of the biggest decisions we face at the beginning of the day is what we will wear. Well, no matter what we choose in the way of clothing, let's make sure we choose to put on the new person God re-made us to be when we became Christians. Those are the only clothes that will fit us eternally!

Acts 5:32 (NIV)

Here is your Verse of the Day:
Acts 5:32 (NIV). We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him....... Thoughts on This Verse... Of all the many gifts God gives, the gift of his presence in us through his Holy Spirit is among the most precious. The Spirit's presence makes us God's temple (1 Cor. 6:19). The Spirit intercedes for us according to the will of God when we pray (Rom. 8:26-27). The Spirit helps us overcome the pull of our flesh (Rom. 8:13-14). The Spirit gives us strength in our inner being (Eph. 3:16). In other words, the Spirit is at work to transform us to the character of Christ. Let's thank God for his holy presence in us through the Holy Spirit.

1 Corinthians 1:30 (NIV)

Here is your Verse of the Day:
1 Corinthians 1:30 (NIV). It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God -- that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption....... Thoughts on This Verse... God's grace has brought us into a saving relationship with Jesus as our Lord and Savior. As believers, we recognize that Jesus' sacrifice on the Cross was much more than a terrible miscarriage of justice and the murder of a good and decent man. Jesus is God's wisdom, a wisdom to convince us of his love. Jesus is our righteousness; taking our sins upon himself he made us righteous. Jesus is our ongoing holiness. His blood cleanses us at the beginning and continues to do so today. Jesus is our holiness; his death means our righteousness. Jesus is our ransom payment, redeeming us from sin and death. Jesus is our everything!

Psalm 23:6 (NIV)

Here is your Verse of the Day:
Psalm 23:6 (NIV). Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever....... Thoughts on This Verse... God is our Shepherd. Our destiny is tied to his goodness and mercy which he longs to shower upon us until he brings us home to dwell with him forever.

Psalm 34:4 (NIV)

Here is your Verse of the Day:
Psalm 34:4 (NIV). I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears....... Thoughts on This Verse... Have you sought the LORD lately? Many of us made a commitment to turn all of our lives over to him last week; how have you done at that commitment? God promises wisdom to those who ask and don't doubt. Have you asked for wisdom recently? Let's join our hearts together, and with the Spirit's help, let's seek our Father so that we can honor and glorify him, finding our blessing in his presence.

Ephesians 6:10 (NIV)

Here is your Verse of the Day:
Ephesians 6:10 (NIV). Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power....... Thoughts on This Verse... Some of our strength to fight evil comes from our experiences in the past, from the encouragement of others, and from our knowledge of the truth in the Scriptures. Ultimately, however, our strength comes from God's mighty power. Paul uses his letter to the Ephesians to remind Christians that this power is what raised Jesus from the dead (1:19-20). Through that power in us, God can do much more than we can ask or imagine (3:20-21). Most important of all, as we put on our spiritual armor and dedicate ourselves to spiritual discipline, God blesses us with his power and might. We can be strong in God's mighty power.

Isaiah 2:22 (NIV)

Here is your Verse of the Day:
Isaiah 2:22 (NIV). Stop trusting in man, who has but a breath in his nostrils. Of what account is he?...... Thoughts on This Verse... ''If only I had a friend.''''If only my father hadn't left.''''If only she was more supportive.''''If only...'' People can fail us, but we still pin so many of our hopes on them. We are all fallible and mortal. So while we are involved in the lives of other people, let's also remember to keep our hopes connected to the Son of God, who''defeated death and brought immortality and life to light'' and who will''never leave or forsake'' us.

Romans 8:18 (NIV)

Here is your Verse of the Day:
Romans 8:18 (NIV). I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us....... Thoughts on This Verse... Paul knew hardship: take a look in 2 Corinthians 11:22-33 at the list of just some of the difficult challenges he had to face. His''present sufferings'' make most of our difficulties seem tame by comparison. However, Paul could say confidently that the glory he would have with Christ (cf. Col. 3:1-4) would be so incredible, with blessings so fantastic, that his hardships are minor in comparison. That glory will also be ours! Now isn't that fantastic news.

Psalm 22:5 (NIV)

Here is your Verse of the Day:
Psalm 22:5 (NIV). They cried to you and were saved; in you they trusted and were not disappointed....... Thoughts on This Verse... This Psalm of despair, referred to by Jesus from the Cross, is also a Psalm of hope and faith. The history of God's faithfulness with his people Israel is an ongoing reminder that we can trust him to deliver us. While in our human reckoning of time God's answer may be slow in coming, his track record in history reminds us that he will answer, deliver, and bless his people in his time. In our worst of nightmares, we can be reminded that God is faithful and is attentive to our cries of despair, lament, grief, agony, and fear.

Philippians 1:29 (NIV)

Here is your Verse of the Day:
Philippians 1:29 (NIV). For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for him .......... Thoughts on This Verse... Suffer! How is suffering a privilege? It's not unless it is for Jesus. Remember how the early apostles were joyful because they were counted worthy to suffer for the name? (cf. Acts 5:41.) You see, he suffered for us so we could be saved. When we face suffering for the cause of Christ and his Kingdom, we help inspire others to live faithfully in adversity and show to all the genuineness of our faith. So few have anything worthy of their living, dying, or suffering. We have reason for all three: our lives will be caught up in Jesus' victory! (cf. Rom 8:32-39; 1 Cor. 15.)

Proverbs 27:1 (NIV)

Here is your Verse of the Day:
Proverbs 27:1 (NIV). Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth....... Thoughts on This Verse... Humility about the future! We don't control tomorrow. At other times in our lives we may have taken tomorrow for granted; not so anymore. Tomorrow may not come. Tomorrow something horrible could happen. Tomorrow everything we possess could be gone. In the face of these discouraging possibilities, is there anything positive we can hold onto? Absolutely! We know that God holds tomorrow in his hands. We know that because our life is hidden with Christ in God (cf. Col. 3:1-4) our tomorrow is secure. It might not be what we expect. It might not go as we planned. But, it will go as God determines and it will end up with us sharing in his comfort, victory, and glory.

Psalm 23:6

Here is your Verse of the Day:
Psalm 23:6 (NIV). Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever....... Thoughts on This Verse... God is our Shepherd. Our destiny is tied to his goodness and mercy which he longs to shower upon us until he brings us home to dwell with him forever.
Here is your Verse of the Day:
1 John 4:19 (NIV). We love because he first loved us....... Thoughts on This Verse... We love others because God has first loved us. Our Heavenly Father taught us how to love in Jesus. Our Abba Father has given us security and confidence so we can love more fully. Our Holy and Almighty God loved us boldly and sacrificially so we could properly understand and define love. We are not the source of love; God is. We are not the great example of love; God is. We tend to be careful and share our love with only those with whom we want to share it: God's love is expansive and open to all. We love because he first loved us.

Matthew 10:38-39 (NIV)

My Daily Verse of the Day: Matthew 10:38-39 (NIV). And anyone who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it....... Thoughts on This Verse... Jesus wants us to seriously look into our hearts and surrender those things that hold us back from fully following and serving him. We know what they are. He comes to us with his now nail-scarred hands and reminds us that he gave up everything to redeem us. He now wants us to surrender to the Cross the things that hold us back. Let's do it today!

He will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with equity. (Psalm 98 7 - 9 - ESV) JC #JC2012 Find out more: http://www.GOD-N-YOU.co
